About Grace Potter

While studying at St. Lawrence University, Potter formed the band Grace Potter and the Nocturnals in 2002 with drummer Matt Burr. Beginning with late-night rehearsals and intimate performances, the group quickly developed a devoted following before breaking through with their acclaimed albums Nothing but the Water, This Is Somewhere, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and The Lion the Beast the Beat.

Throughout her career, Potter has collaborated with some of music’s biggest names, including Kenny Chesney, The Flaming Lips and The Rolling Stones, joining the latter onstage during their 2015 Zip Code Tour to perform “Gimme Shelter”. Her collaboration with Chesney, “You and Tequila”, earned multiple award nominations and became a major country crossover success. Beyond the stage, Potter’s music has reached audiences through film and television, with songs featured in projects including Tangled, Grace and Frankie, Grey’s Anatomy and One Tree Hill.
