Celebrate John Denver's Enduring Legacy
One of the most celebrated artists of the country-folk era of the 60s and 70s, musician/humanitarian John Denver's wholesome, gentle music and nature-praising poetry appealed (and still does) to a broad cross-section of listeners young and old. As the greenery of summer gives way to fiery burnt orange of fall, celebrate the Grammy winning Poet Laureate's enduring legacy at Jacksonville's Official John Denver Celebration Concert, an enchanting one-night-only event filled with music, and memories.
Performing some of his best loved, from the foot-stomping fun of 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' and 'Sunshine On My Shoulder's' to the tenderness of "Annie's Song' and 'Rocky Mountain High', former members of Denver's very own band will give audiences the closest live concert experience since the iconic performer's heyday, accompanied by archival footage, a string section and soaring new arrangements.
