A Night to Remember

Keith Sweat headlines Legends of Love, a special concert at Jacksonville's Times-Union Center that promises an evening of silky R 'n' B and soul. One of the pioneers of the New Jack Swing genre that emerged in the late 80s and early 90s, Sweat's most influential hit remains 1989's I Want Her, a synth heavy dance track produced by the legendary Teddy Riley. Since then he's produced hit after hit, including I'll Give All My Love to You, Twisted and Nobody.

Sweat will be joined on January 10 by a trio of artists. Also on the bill are The Whispers, the Vocal Group Hall of Famers who have been performing for half a decade, and Motown alumni El Debarge, who fronted the hit-making soul group DeBarge throughout the 80s. Last but not least is Howard Hewitt, the former lead vocalist of Shalamar, whose biggest hit was the iconic A Night to Remember.
